Rime Frost
25.1.2023 | 16:20
It forms when there is a lot of low cloud, foggy conditions. These tiny liquid particles freeze onto solid objects like trees, powerlines and any outside objects. They are heavy and weigh down objects. The heavily coated objects can be damaged by the weight of the rime frost and the objects are very icy. The frost can appear up to -20 C. Crystals that exhibit frozen droplets on their surfaces are referred to as rimed.
